Stop By Fallin’s BBQ For A Feast

There’s nothing like good barbecue, and if you’ll head on over to Fallin’s, you’ll be “fallin” in love with this great local restaurant.

Deep Roots

Since opening in 1977, Fallin’s Barbecue has been serving up fantastic food here in Thomasville. Joe and Mary Fallin opened their restaurant and served the community for 32 years. Unfortunately, in 2009, they had to close the business due to health problems. Now, Joe and Mary had worked long and heard to get their place open, and when Fallin’s finally began selling their great barbecue, it was the culmination of 10 years of hard work. In between all of that hard work, the Fallins raised two children: Jon and Denise. This is a family restaurant with deep roots in the community, and today it’s run by Jon Fallin and his wife, Deanna. They’ve kept the same great recipes that have made Fallin’s a great part of the Thomasville community.

Pork Plus

Lots of southeastern barbecue joints focus on pork, with sliced or pulled pork as the most popular parts of the menu. Chicken’s pretty popular, too. But Fallin’s has something on the menu that sets them apart from many barbecue restaurants: brisket and burnt ends. The burnt ends — what your barbecue experts would call meat candy — are a standout on the menu. This is beef cut from the point of the brisket and smoked twice. It’s wonderfully smoky and delicious, and once you try it, the burnt ends will be one of your favorite menu items at Fallin’s or anywhere else that offers them.
