The Beginning
Owners Coosh and Margaret are both Louisiana natives. They grew up a few miles apart near the Jambalaya Capital of the World. Coosh was inspired to own a restaurant while working as a waiter for a local seafood restaurant during college. Since then, he has managed and owned several national chains as well as local hot spots. Together, they desired to bring the Louisiana flavor to their new home in Tallahassee with authentic seafood and Cajun favorites, which led them to open Bayou Rouge in 2001.
Two Locations
No matter where you are, you are within a stone’s throw of a Coosh’s Bayou Rouge location. The Collegetown location is a 705 S Woodward Avenue Tallahassee, FL 32304. The North location is located at 6267 Old Water Oak Rd., Suite 101 Tallahassee, FL 32312. Both locations have outdoor seating so you can dine with peace of mind. They also offer takeout, so if you aren’t comfortable going out, you can still enjoy everything that they have to offer.

The Menu
This spot offers everything you could imagine from Crawfish Etouffee and Red Beans to Rice to Burgers and Chicken Wings. If you love all things Cajun, you are in for a treat. You can’t get food like this just anywhere, especially in South Georgia. But that is not the case when you visit one of these locations. You will be able to enjoy authentic Cajun meals here. If you are not into that style of food, don’t worry. They offer menu items that are more traditional like salads and sandwiches also. This is great for families with picky eaters! No matter what, there is truly something for everyone.
