Hot Chocolate might make for the most stunning Instagram photos (#cozy), but it’s not the only winter beverage. Tea is also a great beverage to snuggle up with on a cold winter night. Brew up one of these great tea options to sip from the comfort of your favorite cushy chair.

Mint Tea

Mint just might be the physical manifestation of the word refreshing. When you take a sip of mint tea you can’t resist the urge to say, “Ah.” You can purchase a mint medley of peppermint and spear mint tea, or brew a cup straight from the source. If you grow fresh mint at home in your garden, just grab a few mint leaves and steep them in hot water for three to five minutes. Then, add a little lemon and honey, and sip at your leisure.

Lemongrass Ginger Iced Tea

Another invigorating beverage to try is this lemongrass ginger iced tea. It starts with an energizing brew of black tea. Then, the addition of lemongrass and ginger really spices things up. Since black teas is naturally caffeinated this beverage would be a great to enjoy in the morning for brunch.

Masala Chai Tea

Masala Chai Tea is a great alternative to your after dinner coffee. Masala Chai means mixed spice tea and is exactly what this Indian-inspired beverage is. A combination of black tea, milk and spices. Specifically, cloves, ginger, peppercorn, and cardamom.

Hong Kong Style Milk Tea

Similar to masala chai, Hong Kong milk tea is a combination of milk and black tea. The difference is that Hong Kong milk tea uses condensed milk and doesn’t include the mixed spices found in masala chai. The result is a sweet, silky smooth beverage.

Orange Mint Tea

Mint and citrus are a little like peanut butter and jelly. They just go pair well together. This orange and mint tea calls for fresh mint, orange juice, and lemon juice. You can bet the results have a wonderful citrus zing to pep you up in the morning.
