Desiree began making cheese out of their family kitchen and then Sweet Grass Dairy Farm was born in the year 2000. It has been this couple’s goal to enhance and highlight the delicious grass-based milk that their cows produce daily through products like cheese.
The Cheeses
Sweet Grass Dairy Farm has a wide variety of cheeses to choose from. Different types are included but not limited to pimento, griffin, garlic and chive, Asher blue, and so many more. These cheeses are handcrafted and at one time were being made right in the Wehner family kitchen by Desiree herself. There she was able to perfect the cheeses and ensure they would be a delight to all who tried and tested them.
Sweet Grass Cheese Shop
Though this sounds like a gift shop, it is not. Sweet Grass Cheese Shop is their restaurant. Serving dishes centered around the authentic taste of homegrown and homemade cheese, this restaurant offers a wide variety of tastes so you are bound to find something you love. They serve everything from cheese curds, to macaroni and cheese and cheesy burgers.
