Read on to discover the different options that The Thomasville Center for the Arts (TCA) provides that are sure to bring out your inner artist.
Public Art
The TCA added virtual exhibitions from past public art projects. The first option is FLAUNT2012, which partnered with Keep Thomasville County Beautiful and Downtown Main Street. This exhibit showed off artists who worked with recycled and up-cycled materials. The second is FLAUNT2013, which partnered with Main Street Thomasville and the Thomas County Public Library System. This exhibit supported a local cause and showed off public art and literature for Thomasville’s first One Book celebration. The final option is FLAUNT2014, which partnered with Main Street Thomasville and Hurst Boiler. This exhibit showed off murals that displayed teamwork and local businesses.
Live
Another wonderful option for your enjoyment is Thomasville Live. This is a partnership between the Thomasville Center for the Arts and Arts for the Community at Thomas University. They showcase streaming performances that feature interviews, musical experiences, and a history of the careers of the featured performers. You are sure to enjoy these talented performers. You can also go back and watch the ones you missed, dating back to March 31.
Music Lessons
The Thomasville Center for the Arts Music Conservatory is offering the opportunity to work with professional musicians who provide quality private virtual instruction for several instruments. They are currently offering piano lessons from Tom Whiddon for ages 8 and older. They are also offering guitar lessons from Chris Manuel. This is a great opportunity for you or your kids to develop their inner musician and expand their skills.
